Artposter for the North Sea Jazz festival Rotterdam.

Slash / Art

2010
Slash / Art

Kunst & Cultuur (Art & Culture).
If the instructions on the bottom are being followed, the poster is being wrecked and thrown away, as being worthless. A metaphor for the careless way with which art and culture are being handled by the government.

Later on, our poster was chosen to represent the whole project as a postcard, printed and distributed throughout the Netherlands by the Boomerang company.

Reaction on the way in wich people seem to follow rules without questioning the sender or purpose.

Ecologic

Thomas van Asselt

2010
Ecologic
Poster competition to make people aware of environmental problems and let them act "Eco-Logic."

The poster is a reaction on the hype around Obama's "Time for change!"
I turned it into "Time to change", as the polar bear takes off its jacket. He adapts to the environmental changes and becomes a regular bear.

Spik & Span

2010
Spik & Span (Neat & Clean)

Collaboration with Camie Karstanje, Sandy van Helden, Joran Koster en Thomas van Asselt.

During a week filling project we were asked to make some street-art. We thought that there wasn't a point in adding more street-'art' and therefor decided to clean things up. We made a big wall completely white again, except for the words 'Spik & Span' which mean as much as 'Neat & Clean'

Thomas van Asselt Japan

'No Place for Amateurs' is a collection of amateur journalism that deals with the several disasters that followed up after each other in Japan, March 2011. Only the intro is written by me, the rest comes directly from the internet. It forms a semi-professional and published platform for amateur journalists who would never be given a chance in professional media and also didn't had the intention to.

2012
Post-it War

Design for Post-it 'art' on school building

My proposal contains 1146 post-its that spread across all the six windows of our atelier, to make clear that its a waste of our time, money and paper.
It was chosen as winner of the project and was so convincing that the whole project was blown off. A saving of 117 euro, 4 hours of work and best of all, we kept our view!
